Hello, I’m Guylaine Charlebois.  I’m a surface pattern designer based in Quebec, Canada.

Since discovering surface pattern design in 2023,

into patterns that carry warmth, story, and quiet wonder.

My work bridges past and present—celebrating traditional aesthetics while remaining versatile for contemporary interiors. Designed for wallpaper and interior surfaces, my patterns invite curiosity, visual rhythm, and a subtle sense of wonder into living spaces.
Personal Note
Outside my studio practice, I’m deeply connected to family life and to the natural world. I’m drawn to projects that make everyday living more fluid, meaningful, and closer to nature. I grow my own medicinal herbs with a vegetable garden and care for a greenhouse, finding calm and inspiration in the rhythm of the seasons.
I value presence and care—spending time with my aging parents and supporting my children as they raise their own families. These relationships ground me and shape the way I approach both life and creative work.
Movement is essential to my well-being. I love dance, long walks in the forest, and time spent outdoors. I have a deep respect for wildlife and strive to live thoughtfully and in harmony with the natural world whenever possible.
These values quietly inform my creative process and influence the atmosphere and intention behind my designs.
Bio artistic
Guylaine Charlebois has been fascinated by patterns since the age of four, when she first discovered wallpaper catalogues with her grandmother. With a diverse artistic background ranging from oil painting to the art of felting hats and scarves, she eventually channeled her life’s journey into a meaningful creative mission. Through Flora Rose Design, she masterfully interprets classic historical styles—from Damask and Toile de Jouy to the Arts & Crafts movement. Her work blends vintage charm with the clarity of modern design, creating murals envisioned as havens of softness that bring a serene and timeless presence to any home.
